A Proposal – Alicia+Jake

Wedding Photo + Video

As we celebrate our anniversary today, we get to celebrate this proposal!

While this might not be a wedding video, or wedding photography, it certainly is exciting!

There was no-way we were going to miss this event!

Back in July, we received a call from the mother of a past bride. Kim is just an absolute pleasure to be around. She was so excited to tell us that Jake was going to propose to Alicia.  We filmed her daughter’s wedding and Kim couldn’t wait for the day to capture Jake’s wedding.  She called us to ask if we could capture Jake’s proposal to Alicia.  There was no-way we were going to miss this event!

While the sun was setting and the light was low we hid in the trees.  Yes, we literally hid in the woods! We made sure to capture the images and the video of Jake’s proposal. Jake had everything planed-out.  They were celebrating their anniversary with a dinner date.  After their dinner they were going to take a stroll.  This is were the family comes in.  Kaitie, Ryan, Kim and Greg swung into action. Setup on easels along the path to that location, they placed different photos of their time together.  These photos told their story of their time together and brought back memories. Using chalk, Kaitie drew a Japanese symbol of Love.  This symbol has great meaning to both of them.  They spent a lot of time in Japan. This is the spot that Jake would “pop-the-question”

After dinner it was time for a stroll through the park.  Once they reached the right location, it was time.  Jake got down on one knee.  He asked for her hand in marriage.  She said Yes!  Kim, Kaitie, Ryan and Greg all celebrated!  While Alicia was still shaking with excitement. She couldn’t wait to “Face-timed” a call to her parents to share the news!  We are so so excited for this sweet couple!  We can’t wait until next year when we celebrate their big Day!  Congratulations Alicia and Jake!
