Amanda and Ray are quickly approaching their special day, and the excitement is mounting! After a romantic engagement this past year, the couple is ready to finally tie the knot in a beautiful ceremony at Orion Hill.
Family and friends are feeling the thrill of anticipation as they look forward to celebrating this momentous occasion with them. The wedding promises to be an unforgettable event, full of fun and celebration. Everyone involved can hardly wait for the big day to arrive!
In January of 2016, we both separately decided to join a mission tip to Nicaragua through different church groups. We met at the worksite 2600 miles away from home, only to find out we both lived just 10 minutes away from each other. We hit it off instantly and made plans to meet up once back in the States.
Our personalities meshed perfectly as our relationship grew deeper. Over the next 6 years, we battled through the ups and downs of our lives, sharing milestones and failures alike, pushing each other to be the best version of ourselves that we could be. It did not take long for us to realize that we both wanted to spend the rest of our lives together. However, because we met so young, we had to mature separately and together before we were ready to take that next step.
In 2022, I finally decided it was time to propose. I took her to look at rings and found the perfect ring that was on its last day of a huge sale. My check was late so I told her I could not buy it, but what she didn’t know was that I had already been saving and went back later to get it. August 12, 2022 I dragged her to what she believed to be my grandparents anniversary party, but they were instead setting up for her engagement party. Believing I had hijacked the anniversary party, she almost said no when I proposed! Thankfully she still said yes! The rest of our story is yet to be written, but we cannot wait to begin a new chapter on April 15th, 2023.
